ACOUSTIC GUITAR ACTION SETUP

Restringing a 60's Epiphone Acoustic.?

I'm going to restring my friends Epiphone acoustic guitar from sometime in the 60's. What gauge strings would you recommend to use, so that the neck won't bend or warp, and it won't need to be re-setup. I guess i mean what strings would've been stock, because i don't think she or the original owner ever changed them and i want to keep the action nice and low like it is now.

Its a fantastic guitar if anyone has ever played on by the way.
I don't know the model either.
Horrible answer Ben,
might as well have said restring it with strings.
learn a little about the guitar as an instrument.
I want to know what gauge strings to use... i.e. 12's 13's 14's so i dont screw up the action or warp the neck on the guitar or whatever will happen. Because when you switch gauges of strings on a guitar you need to get it reset up. But i'm no luthier and neither are you obviously, so i dont want to have to do that. Thanks for the answer though.

You can restring .010 light gague on epiphone even if it is from the 60's. Even if it came with medium gauge, the neck during those years was flexible enough to drop from medium to light gauge without adjusting the truss rod.
Actually, it's often the other way around. When you go from light to medium, then, the neck would need a 1/4 inch turn on the truss rod.

So feel safe to put .011 medium-light gauge, or light gauge. You won't damage the guitar in any way whatsoever.
