BEST BEGINNER ELECTRIC GUITAR SONGS

Guitars?????????? plz help me! please be an experienced guitar player!

I started playing acoustic 2 months ago but I'm really good for a beginner. I really want to learn electric because all the bands I like use electric and I want to learn their songs. I know nothing about guitars at all!! I know that fender and gibson are the best brands. I need some suggestions for a guitar for a 13 year old girl, perferably fender or gibson. Price doesnt matter if its 1,500 or under. If you could please profide a link thanks! Also could you educate me a bit about the types of guitar or watever? Thanks so much!!!

ok, ok. i played an acoustic guitar for three years before getting even a starter electric. even if you are good for a beginner, i dont think you have enough experience for an electric yet. 2 months isnt very much experience for a beginner. you might decide in a year or so that you dont want to play guitar anymore. i would suggest before going to electric that you play AT LEAST a year and a half. fthen, go to guitar center and try a few out.

ok here is my philosiphy: stay away from fender and gibson unless the guitar you want is vintage. especially electrics. i play an ibanez electric and have played several gibsons and fenders and honestly i think my ibanez, which is half the price, is better than both gibsons and fenders.

here are some guitars i would reccomend instead of fenders or gibsons, that i honestly think are better and leave you enough money to buy an amp.

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ibanez-S520EX-Electric-Guitar-103121471-i1371857.gc this is the guitar i play (in black). its more of an ibanez style, with great neck action. and, also the reason i bought the guitar, it is freakishly thinn, and awesome to play! you have to check this out even if you dont like how it looks. sonetimes at my guitar center they get ones with neat paint jobs you might like, being a 13 year old girl.

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ibanez-RG120-Electric-Guitar?sku=519426 also ibanez, although i would consider this one more of a starter guitar.

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/ESP-LTD-EC500-With-EMG-Pickups?sku=512885 this guitar is more of a gibson les paul-style. but it is 1500 cheaper and more reliable in my opinion. these guitars you could throw at a concrete wall and still pick it up and play it.

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/ESP-LTD-FX260-Spalted-Maple?sku=512886 this is like a gibson xplorer if you like those, with a natural grain finish. i reccomend this one because you dont have to worry about chipping the paint.

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Gibson-Les-Paul-Vintage-Mahogany-Electric-Guitar?sku=517536 if you really want a gibson, this is the only les paul they sell under 1500 bucks. but, it is also my favorite of the gibsons. also a natural finish, you dont need to worry about paint.

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Fender-72-Telecaster-Deluxe-Electric-Guitar?sku=511141 if you want to get a fender, this is in my opinion the only fender worth buying. it is a quality guitar, still not better than ibanez or esp, but a fine instrument.

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Squier-Hello-Kitty-Stratocaster-Electric-Guitar?sku=512071 just because you're a girl ;)

and for an amp, i would reccomend this: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Peavey-ValveKing-112-Combo-Amp?sku=481442 if you get a cheaper guitar, this would be easy to afford.

out of all the guitars though, i most reccomend the one in the first link. i have that guitar, and its the best in my collection, beats all the gibsons and fenders, and its cheaper.
