Good steel string acoustic guitar for beginners?

I've settled on the sound of steel strings on an acoustic guitar for a first guitar. I've noticed some Fender, Yamaha and Epiphone models have steel strings and look nice. I'm trying to stay under $ 250, so the Seagull S6 is probably not as much as I recommended it. I want something that lasts, have good sound and no buyer remorse I feel if I lose interest after six months start playing.

Is there a Guitar magazine is GOOD ?!?!?

I subscribed to all the Biggies (guitar, guitar world, guitarist) and I think we are all garbage! I like to play guitar and love rock music (mostly alternative, indie), but when I come to a guitar magazine, I want to see a lot of tattoos, topless, still rare and tongue dragging. I just want a magazine that has reviews, lessons, articles and focuses on guitars, not really guitarists. I know a lot of good acoustic guitar magazines, but is there a good power? thank you in advance.

I used have magazines too. they are garbage. give very good reviews to any product that society throws at them. interviews are just generic fluff. Go to www.ultimate-guitar.com from now. really is not much better. but at least it's free and so far! and a collection monster tab.
